Moody Diagram for Pipe Flow

Summary:

1.  For turbulent flow the friction factor, f, depends solely on relative roughness.

2.  For the transition region the friction factor, f, depends on both relative roughness and Reynolds Number.

3.  For laminar flow,  Reynolds Number ≤  2100,  the friction factor is  64/Reynolds Number.
