Beam Deflection (Statically Indeterminate)

Replace the  beam with two supports (top figure) by two beams each with one support

as shown below, one acted on by the external moment, Mo, and the other acted on by

the force of constraint, FB.  User superposition,  rather than double integration to obtain

the deflection.    

                  

 

 

                

 

From table:            y1  =  MoL2 / 2EI     and        y2  =   FBL3/3EI
