Finally construct a FBD of the members at joint B and express the equations of

equilibrium.  Again assume the forces in all truss members whose forces

are unknown to be in tension.

                                                                             

 

      Σ Fx  =  0  gives   - 1600 (√2) (1/√2)  + 800 (√2) (1/√2)  +  FBD  =  0

 

    So    FBD  =  800 N  (in tension)
